Here at Robbins’ Nest, we cater for children and young people with a variety of additional learning needs. We offer educational support as well as support for a range of social and emotional needs. Robbins’ Nest offers bespoke 1:1 tutoring either within the founder’s family home, the client’s home or virtually.
As part of our support service, we also offer guidance and support for parents and carers navigating the world of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), in particular the education, health and care plan (EHCP) processes.
We also provide education consultancy to businesses, providing training, education strategy and product evaluation to promote inclusivity and equality.

Robbins’ Nest has come to fruition due to the startling lack of support for children and young people with additional learning needs outside of school. Many parents have expressed that the world of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) can be a minefield of confusing terminology and unclear processes. It can also be a lonely place to be for parents and children alike.
Additionally, many businesses are passionate about inclusion and diversity but can often be unsure how to adapt their services and products purposefully for those with additional needs.
The aim of Robbins’ Nest is to provide children and young people with SEND the support they need to become more independent and confident learners who embrace their unique differences. Robbins’ Nest also aims to empower parents and provide them with the vital guidance and support to navigate the SEND world. We also aim to provide specialist support and guidance to businesses to help them become inclusive and diverse enterprises.

My name is Emily and I am a qualified teacher who has extensive experience of teaching children with a variety of different learning needs. As well as being a teacher, I am also a qualified special educational needs coordinator (SENDCo) and a designated teacher for looked-after children.
My JourneyIn 2016, I graduated from Keele University with a degree in psychology with neuroscience. It was during my degree that I developed a passion for supporting neurodiverse individuals. I opted to completed additional modules in autistic spectrum condition (ASC) and neuropathology to further my understanding in this area. From here, I studied a PGCE in primary education at the University of Wolverhampton, undertaking an additional SEND enhancement module and qualifying as a teacher in 2018. I then went onto specialise in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), gaining a post-graduate certificate and the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination from Bath Spa University. I currently work at a growing primary academy in the West Midlands.
