Founders Background
Hello, I’m Emily Robbins
My name is Emily and I am a qualified teacher who has extensive experience of teaching children with a variety of different learning needs. As well as being a teacher, I am also a qualified special educational needs coordinator (SENDCo) and a designated teacher for looked-after children.
My Journey
In 2016, I graduated from Keele University with a degree in psychology with neuroscience. It was during my degree that I developed a passion for supporting neurodiverse individuals. I opted to completed additional modules in autistic spectrum condition (ASC) and neuropathology to further my understanding in this area. From here, I studied a PGCE in primary education at the University of Wolverhampton, undertaking an additional SEND enhancement module and qualifying as a teacher in 2018. I then went onto specialise in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), gaining a post-graduate certificate and the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination from Bath Spa University. I currently work at a growing primary academy in the West Midlands.
